Isavuconazole is a new extended-spectrum triazole with activity against yeasts, molds, and dimorphic fungi that inhibits cytochrome P450 (CYP)-dependent 14?-lanosterol demethylation, which is essential for fungal cell membrane ergosterol synthesis.
